DAVID L. DAVITT

Attorney David L. Davitt received his B.A. in Business from Bethel College, in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1979, and received his Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School in 1982.  He was admitted to practice in Iowa in 1982, and practiced law in Des Moines, Iowa for 9 years.  Mr. Davitt began practicing law in Illinois in 1991, and has been a partner with Schlueter Ecklund since he joined the firm in 1997.

David L. Davitt focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, estate planning and administration, real estate and business transactions, and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Winnebago County Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr. Davitt has also served on the boards of directors for local non-profit organizations, including, Rockford Christian School, Rockford Rescue Mission, and the Rockford Area Pregnancy Care Center.
